We are still obsessed with the Rainbow Food trend at Sprinkles & Co. And it doesn’t look like it’s going away anytime soon! With a huge range of offerings around, you’re spoilt for choice. Any takers for rainbow pizza or rainbow sushi?? We’ve got a decorating idea that’s bang on trend to share with you. It will bring the wow-factor with so little work – Rainbow Fudge!
Making the most of our Cake Décor Rainbow Cake Colour Gels here, these super-strength colour gels aren’t just for cakes and frosting!
You can use any fudge recipe you like. We used an easy yummy 2 ingredient recipe that only required white chocolate and condensed milk that made about 32 servings. Bonus, you get white chocolate flavoured fudge!
Our Cake Décor White Choco Melts were ideal! They come in easy-to-melt buttons, that are supplied in a handy microwaveable, resealable tub. Furthermore they are quick setting and will provide you with a smooth texture that’s just perfect for fudge, or any sort of cake covering!
Following your favourite fudge recipe, when the mixture is off the heat, divide into 5 bowls. Add each colour from our Cake Décor Rainbow Cake Colour Gels Kits into each mixture, and thoroughly mix. Our kit contains red, orange, yellow, green and blue gels that really pack a punch. We used the full 10g tube of super-strength colour to achieve the vibrant colours pictured!
Get your lined tray-tin ready for the fun part! We wanted a pretty marble effect, so we blobbed each colour mix into the tin randomly. Before popping it into the fridge to chill, we scattered a generous amount of our Cake Décor Bright Coloured Strands for an extra colourful effect. Allow to cool in the fridge until it’s firm enough to slice.
And there you have it, a yummy sweet treat that will bring the bright colours of the rainbow to your dessert table!
Have a go yourself, and make sure to share your creations with us. We love seeing them!
Happy Baking! 🙂
